Jane S. Glenn Scholarship

Jane S. Glenn was an attorney and a member of MCCBR for many years. She was a beloved volunteer in the Children’s Church and is missed by many friends and members of MCCBR. The memorial scholarship is a tribute to her passion for education and pursuing dreams.

This Scholarship was established by Metropolitan Community Church of the Blue Ridge in recognition of Jane S. Glenn for her service to the community of Roanoke, Virginia and MCC Blue Ridge, as well as her significant professional accomplishment as an attorney in this community. Throughout a distinguished career of service to the public and service to bar, Jane S. Glenn demonstrated a commitment to supporting individual excellence in all endeavors, whether actions of charity or benevolence or efforts to achieve a higher education. This scholarship seeks to implement her commitment through encouragement of and assistance to qualified students in pursuit of a college education.

In December 2007, following the establishment of this scholarship, the initial scholarship funds were donated to MCC Blue Ridge. The Board of MCC Blue Ridge and Scholarship Committee administer the funds pursuant to its Trust Agreement and the Scholarship Committee is charged with selecting the persons to receive the scholarship(s).
